Celebrating the 47th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan

On Monday morning (September 21), the Dak Lak provincial Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association (DVJFA) held an exchange program to celebrate the 47th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. Attending the event were Mr. Tran Vinh Canh - Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Council and DVJFA’s Chairman, nearly 100 employees and students who are studying Japanese at schools and foreign language centers, Japanese workers who are living and working in the province as well as guests from Japan.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Vinh Canh - Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Council and DVJFA Chairman, reviewed the close friendship between the two countries. On September 21, 1973, Vietnam and Japan established official diplomatic relation. Since then, the relations between the two countries have developed rapidly in many fields, entered a new stage of quality and depth.
In an intimate atmosphere, the delegates had a cultural exchange; shared information about the two peoples and the two countries; answered multiple-choice questions to learn about Japan, Japanese culture and people, etc.
One performance at the event
Japan is currently the most important economic partner, the largest provider of ODA assistance, the second largest investor and the fourth largest trading partner for Vietnam.
In addition to the resources from State budget, Dak Lak has received 21 ODA programs and projects under JICA SPL specialized credit programs with a total investment of about USD24.2 million, 2 FDI projects with a total investment of USD4.6 million, 19 aids with a total amount of over USD1.3 million.
Currently, Dak Lak has cooperation programs with the provinces of Nara, Osaka, Wakayama, Tokyo ... that promise better relations between Dak Lak province and Japanese localities...
