On the morning of April 17th, in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, in coordination with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, organized the Conference on Business and Investment between India and the Central Highlands Provinces.
Attending the conference were: Mr. Y Bier Nie - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Phu Hung - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Thien Van - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan - Deputy Head of the delegation specializing in the National Assembly Delegation; Ms. Nong Thi Thu - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of central and local authorities, as well as associations, unions, and 140 entrepreneurs from the Central Highlands provinces.
From India, there was Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, along with representatives of associations, associations, and about 60 Indian businessmen.
Dak Lak has many potentials in agriculture, renewable energy, landscape tourism, ecology, environment, and cultural traditions. Currently, Dak Lak province has 01 industrial park and 8 industrial clusters in operation, preparing to invest in an additional industrial park and 7 other industrial clusters, ensuring the land use needs of investors. However, Indian investors coming to explore and invest in Dak Lak are still limited.

With the goal of attracting more investment capital, expanding areas, territories, and forms of investment, Dak Lak will focus all resources on investing in infrastructure to enhance its position, improve the investment environment, and attract investment to the locality. At the same time, it hopes to establish strong relationships with Indian partners in trade, investment, tourism, education, healthcare, information technology, and hopes that Dak Lak will become a locality supplying quality agricultural products such as durian, fruits, cashews, coffee, etc., to distribution channels in India.

At the conference, delegates discussed the potential for exporting agricultural products in general and durian products in particular from Dak Lak province; the production, consumption, and export situation of durian in the province and negotiations on durian exports to the Indian market; the situation and prospects of investment cooperation between Dak Lak and Indian localities in areas where both sides have advantages; exchanged information on investment attraction policies, information on commercial, tourism, agricultural, renewable energy products; discussed procedures, time for processing procedures, licensing documents for investment; preferential policies to attract investment for businesses when coming to invest in Dak Lak province...

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van affirmed that Dak Lak province is committed to always accompanying investors and businesses, creating all conditions and actively supporting investors, businesses when investing in the province, viewing the success of investors as the success of the province.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province announced and exchanged 64 memoranda of cooperation between enterprises of Dak Lak province and enterprises of India (including 52 memoranda of cooperation signed within the framework of the Conference on Business and Investment between India and the Central Highlands Provinces, and 14 memoranda of cooperation signed during the working delegation of Dak Lak province to promote investment and trade in India in November 2023).

The Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to the team of the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City for their contributions to foreign affairs work in Dak Lak province in recent times.
