General Statistics Office of Dak Lak held a press conference to announce socio-economic statistics in 2020. In 2020, despite being affected and strongly influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic, the socio-economic development situation of the province has been maintained stability thanks to the leadership and drastic direction of Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, the consensus and determination of the entire Party, people and armed force. Specifically, economic growth maintained at a positive level, reaching 3.63%, bringing Dak Lak to rank the 30th out of 63 cities and provinces across the country.

The provincial economic result reached over VND83,755 billion. Specially, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounted for 37.12% while the industry and construction accounted for 13.21% and the service sector accounted for 44,90%. Total budget revenue in 2020 is estimated at VND8,625 billion, increasing by 13.86% compared to the same period in 2019. Moreover, there were 1,425 newly-registered enterprises in 2020, equaling 115.85% of the plan, increasing 21.07% over the same period last year, with a total registered capital of about VND22,154 billion.
Mobilization of investment capital for the whole society was estimated at 100.34%; total retail sales of consumer goods and services in the province was estimated at 101.03%; State budget revenue was estimated at VND8,625 billion, equaling 101.71% of the plan (Plan: VND8,480 billion), up 16.51% compared to 2019; the number of newly registered enterprises was estimated at 126.83%. The rate of forest coverage (including rubber trees) increased by 0.14% compared to 2019 ... Of the 18 planned targets, 14 have achieved and exceeded the plan.

Regarding investment, the province attracted 25 projects in 2020 with a total registered investment capital of about VND20,500 billion with a focus on the fields of wind power, solar power, and urban development. Export turnover in 2020 was estimated at USD600 million, down 3.23% compared to 2019 and import turnover was estimated at USD250 million, up 194.12%.
In addition, the fields of education and training, health care and sport have positive changes, improving quality. National defense and security was ensured; social order and safety are maintained, creating a favorable environment for local economic development ...
