4th Typical Conference of Provincial Farmers’ Association 

On the morning of September 23rd, the Provincial Farmers’ Association held the fourth advanced typical conference in the period of 2020-2025 with the participation of Vice Chairman of Vietnam Farmers’ Association Dinh Khac Dinh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Y Giang Gry Nie Knong; representatives of relevant departments, agencies.

At the conference    

The whole province currently has over 204,590 farmer members, 67 cooperatives, 265 cooperative groups operating, producing and trading in the agricultural sector. In the period of 2015 - 2020, responding to the patriotic movement by the Farmers' Association launched at the provincial level, farmers' officers and members have actively researched and applied high technology, innovated production in the direction of safe production cooperation and association. On average, the number of farmers registered to good production and business increasing over the past years.

All-level associations deployed to more than 100,800 farmers' households to borrow loans with a total revenue of over VND1,000 billion, bringing the total outstanding loans to December 31st, 2019 to VND1,528 billion with 50,724 households, 1,320 saving and borrowing groups.

The Association also deployed 39 models and projects to promote agricultural products according to standards with the amount of more than VND3.9 billion, organized more than 6,000 training courses and seminars with more than 424,000 participants. From essential programs and activities, the movement of good farmers has contributed with the locality to help 12,551 poor and disadvantaged farmer households stabilizing their lives.

In the emulation movement to build a new-style rural area, a civilized city and environmental protection, the Farmers' Association at all levels has coordinated to mobilize contributions of over VND 115.6 billion, more than 493,000 working days, donating more than 542,000 square meter of land for renovating and repairing rural roads and other civil works.

Through the emulation movements launched by the Farmers’ Association, many typical examples were praised by the Party, State and Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Association. In the past 5 years, the Prime Minister has awarded 02 Certificates of Merit, Central Vietnam Farmers’ Association has awarded 02 Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit to 37 collectives and 54 individuals, 765 Medal of “For the Vietnamese farmer”.

Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Y Giang Gry Nie Knong praised the achievements that collectives and individuals have achieved in the patriotic emulation movement of the Provincial Farmers Association for the 2015–2020 period. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Farmers' Association at all levels in the province continue to promote the patriotic emulation movement in a practical and specific direction associated with the political tasks of each association and locality. The Association should focus on propaganda, renewing the content and form of competition; promoting linkages among the State, scientists, entrepreneurs and farmers to ensure sustainable production. At the same time, to discover, multiply and exemplify good people, good deeds, and reward advanced examples; organized many movements with social resources towards the goal of building a civilized and modern rural society.

At the conference, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 30 individuals; The Provincial Farmers’ Association awarded certificates of merit to 20 collectives and 30 individuals with excellent achievements in the patriotic emulation movement of the Provincial Farmers' Association for the period of 2015 - 2020.
