Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Bui Van Cuong: Press to accompany Dak Lak development 

On the afternoon of January 11th, the Provincial Standing Party Committee held a meeting with news agencies and press outlets in the province on the occasion of New Year 2021. Attending and chairing the meeting were Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Member of CPV Central Committee Bui Van Cuong and Executive Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Tan.

Also, the meeting was attended by representatives from the Commission for Publicity and Education under Provincial Party Committee, Department of Information and Communications as well as local and central news agencies and press outlets located in the province.
The Provincial Standing Party Committee at the meeting appreciated the press’ recommendations relating to their operations in the province as well as other major issues that the public’s opinion is concerned about.

Speaking at the meeting, Member of CPV Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Bui Van Cuong thanked the press for accompanying the provincial Party committees and governmental agencies in implementing socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security.
Last year, the press focused on propagating the province’s prominent political events, especially the Party Congresses at all levels toward the 17th Provincial Party Congress. News agencies and press outlets have played an important role in criticizing and reporting information promptly, thereby the province’s governmental authorities has handled arising issues promptly.

Additionally, thanks to the great contribution of news agencies and press outlets, Dak Lak province has overcome difficulties and challenges and achieved many outstanding results such as economic growth reaching 3.63%, ranking 30/63 cities and province; budget revenue surpassing 8,400 billion VND. In addition, Dak Lak has also organized many great programs successfully, such as the program “The Spring in border areas – Warming the People’s hearts” and the Dialogue between the Prime Minister and farmers.

The Secretary of Provincial Party Committee said that in 2021 and the coming time, Dak Lak will focus on building resolutions, programs and projects to concretize the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress for the period of 2020-2025.  

Particularly, Dak Lak will pay attention to finalizing the provincial-level planning, especially the orientation of building Buon Ma Thuot city become the central urban area of the Central Highlands; implementing key projects in transport and infrastructure, especially the Buon Ma Thuot – Nha Trang highway; enhancing administrative reform; improving the investment environment; boosting the development of clean energy, high-tech agriculture.

On the occasion of New Year 2021, the Secretary of Provincial Party Committee sent his best wishes to the press and expressed his hope that the news agencies and press outlets will further accompany Dak Lak’s Party Committees and governmental agencies in informing the right guidelines as well as detecting and reflecting shortcomings and limitations in the province.

Provincial Secretary Bui Van Cuong also asked the Commission for Publicity and Education and Department of Information and Communications to perform their tasks in managing press activities efficiently in order to support the press activities in the province. Especially, he asked competent agencies to follow the regulations closely during speaking and providing information to the press.

On the occasion, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Bui Van Cuong presented a jersey and a ball signed by Vietnamese national football players to the journalists club of Dak Lak province to organize an auction to create fund for the poor on the Lunar New Year – the Year of Buffalo.
