Buon Ma Thuot city strives to be bright spot in electoral work 

“Buon Ma Thuot city has the largest number of voters. Therefore, the city should focus on directing to strengthen propaganda, well preparing conditions for organizing the elections successfully, striving to be a bright spot in the electoral work, with the highest number of voters.” directed by Mr. Pham Minh Tan - Executive Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial Election Commission at the actual inspection of the preparation to elect the 15th National Assembly deputies and People’s Council deputies at all levels, for the 2021-2026 term of Buon Ma Thuot city in the morning of April 23rd, 2021.

According to the report of Buon Ma Thuot Election Commission, the whole city has 9 Election Boards of the City People’s Council and 144communal-level Election Boards; whereas, the communal-level People’s Committees has 240 election teams in 240 constituencies to ensure regulations.

After the 3rd consultative meeting, Buon Ma Thuot city has agreed on the list of candidates for the City People’s Council, including 57 candidates to elect 35 deputies to the City People’s Council according to regulations, among them there are 21 female candidates, 7 non- party members, 10 ethnic minorities, 24 under-40-year- old candidates, 3 religious candidates, 15 re-nominated candidates. Total number of candidates for communal-level People’s Councils is 883 to elect 526 deputies to communal-level People’s Councils according to regulations.

Currently, Buon Ma Thuot Election Commission has completed the establishment and listing of the electoral roll, at the same time preparing to publish the official list of candidates for the City People’s Council and communal-level People’s Councils according to each constituency; printing ballots and brief biographies of nominated candidates. In addition, the city has also focused on good propaganda, adequate facilities for the elections as well as the work of ensuring political security, social order and safety in the area.

Emphasizing a number of key tasks, Mr. Pham Minh Tan, Executive Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial Election Commission, praised and highly appreciated the election preparation to elect deputies to the 15th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure of Buon Ma Thuot city.

Mr Pham Minh Tan said that up to the present time it can be confirmed that Buon Ma Thuot city has well prepared the necessary conditions for the elections. In order for the successful elections, he asked the city to further absorb the opinions raised during the meeting to perform tasks well in the coming time to ensure the elections in accordance with law and efficiency and to have the real festival for the entire population. He also requested to promote propaganda on the elections with many diversified forms to spread widely to the people; to examine, review and settle complaints and petitions of the people definitively; to organize for the candidates to officially campaign for the elections according to the time prescribed by law. Additionally, Mr. Pham Minh Tan asked to actively do well the prevention of Covid-19 throughout the election process; to implement well the work of ensuring political security, social order and safety before, during and after the elections, etc.
